We are searching for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable plastic surgery medical assistant to join
our clinical team. Responsibilities include but not limited to: taking vital signs, obtaining history
and chief complaint; assisting with biopsies and select surgery procedures; patient education
treatment plans and medication, suture removal, dressing changes, assisting in minor surgeries
and completion of pathology and lab requisition documents. Candidate must be conversant in
plastic surgery procedures.

Job Opportunity – Histotech for Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery
• Oversees all histology and related OSHA compliance activities.
• Schedules equipment maintenance on a regular basis.
• Creates new forms and updates old forms as needed.
• Maintains all documentation and schedules employee education as required for CLIA
compliance.
• Researches current technology and brings on-line any special stains such as immuno stains for
MEL.
• Prepares quarterly tracking statements, including information such as changes in costs of
MOHS supplies, number of this year’s versus last year’s MOHS cases, number of recurrences,
etc.
• Researches new MOHS techniques for embedding and cutting so specimens can be produced in
less time.
• Researches, brings, and maintains office in compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Promote MOHS practice with other doctors and nurses in the area by contacting them by
telephone or letter, as approved by the physician.
